By using the Global Youth Network website or participating in any programs organized by the Global Youth Network, you agree to these terms.
APPLICANT DECLARATION AND ACCEPTANCE
When using our website, you may voluntarily provide personal information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, email address, phone number, and other contact details. GYN may use this information for operational and administrative purposes, including managing registrations, processing payments, communicating important event updates, and providing services related to our conferences and events.
GYN does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may use the information you provide to inform you about upcoming conferences, events, programs, or other opportunities that may be of interest to you.
Where permitted by law, we may also combine the information you provide with information obtained from trusted third-party sources to improve our services and enhance your experience with GYN.
MERIT-BASED SELECTION
The Applicant understands and agrees that the Fully Funded and Partially Funded participation categories are highly competitive and are awarded solely on merit, based on the selection criteria established by Global Youth Network.
Payment of the application processing fee does not guarantee:
- Selection for any participation category.
- A Fully Funded or Partially Funded scholarship.
- An invitation letter.
- Event participation.
- Visa approval.
- Accommodation.
- Travel sponsorship.
- Any other benefit unless expressly stated.
The Applicant acknowledges that failure to be selected for a scholarship category shall not constitute grounds for a refund.
APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE
The application processing fee is charged solely for administrative services, including but not limited to:
- Application submission and registration.
- Eligibility verification.
- Application review.
- Administrative processing.
- Evaluation by the selection committee.
- Certificate of Application (where applicable).
- Learning resources or other benefits specifically mentioned at the time of application.
These services begin immediately after payment has been successfully received.
VOLUNTARY PAYMENT
The Applicant confirms that payment is made voluntarily and without any coercion, pressure, or misleading representation.
The Applicant understands that the application fee is paid for the review and processing of their application and is not a payment for a guaranteed scholarship, admission, invitation, visa, or participation in the event.
SELECTION DECISIONS
All decisions made by the Global Youth Network Selection Committee are final.
Due to the competitive nature of the selection process, Global Youth Network is under no obligation to provide individual evaluation reports, scores, rankings, or reasons for selection or non-selection.
General Conditions
- GYN reserves the right to accept or reject any application.
- Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
- All information provided must be accurate and truthful.
- Participants must be at least 17 years of age.
Payment & Refunds Conditions
REFUND POLICY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By making payment, the Applicant confirms that they have read and understood the Refund Policy before completing the transaction.
Applicants who are not selected for Fully Funded or Partially Funded participation shall not be entitled to a refund unless they qualify under the official Refund Policy.
Refund requests submitted for reasons that fall outside the published Refund Policy shall not be approved.
Visa & Travel
- GYN does not guarantee visa approval. Global Youth Network will only provide visa supporting documents.
- Global Youth Network will provide airfare support to scholarship applicants.
- GYN will only give visa supporting documents like Invitation Letter, Accommodation proof and other necessary documents required from the GYN side.
CURRENCY AND BANKING CHARGES
Unless otherwise stated, all payments are processed in United States Dollars (USD).
Applicants are solely responsible for any:
- Currency conversion charges.
- International transaction fees.
- Bank charges.
- Credit or debit card fees.
- Taxes imposed by their financial institution or local authorities.
CHARGEBACK POLICY
Applicants agree to contact Global Youth Network before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback with their bank or payment provider.
Submitting a chargeback for a valid payment after receiving application processing services or other agreed services may result in:
- Immediate cancellation of the application.
- Withdrawal of any scholarship or participation offer.
- Permanent disqualification from future Global Youth Network programs.
- Submission of all relevant evidence, including application records, payment confirmations, email communications, and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions, to the payment processor in order to dispute the chargeback.
Global Youth Network reserves all legal rights in cases involving fraudulent or abusive chargeback claims.
PARTICIPANT CONDUCT
Applicants and participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully throughout the application process and during all event-related activities.
Global Youth Network reserves the right to suspend or remove any participant whose conduct is considered abusive, fraudulent, discriminatory, threatening, or disruptive without any obligation to provide a refund.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND MEDIA CONSENT
By participating in any Global Youth Network event, Applicants grant permission for photographs, videos, audio recordings, and other media captured during official activities to be used for promotional, educational, marketing, and reporting purposes without additional notice or compensation, unless prohibited by applicable law.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Global Youth Network shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, delay, expense, or inconvenience arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Visa refusals.
- Flight cancellations or delays.
- Lost or delayed baggage.
- Travel disruptions.
- Personal injury.
- Theft or loss of personal belongings.
- Accommodation issues beyond its control.
- Government restrictions.
- Public health emergencies.
- Natural disasters.
- Political unrest.
- Any other unforeseen events.
Participation in Global Youth Network programs is undertaken at the Applicant’s own risk.
FORCE MAJEURE
Global Youth Network shall not be responsible for any delay, modification, postponement, or cancellation of any event or service resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government actions, travel restrictions, transportation failures, labour disputes, or other force majeure events.
In such circumstances, Global Youth Network reserves the right to modify event dates, venue, schedule, speakers, or program format without incurring liability.
ELECTRONIC ACCEPTANCE
By submitting an online application and completing payment, the Applicant acknowledges that electronic acceptance of these Terms & Conditions constitutes a legally binding agreement and has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms & Conditions, together with the Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and any additional policies published on the Global Youth Network website, constitute the entire agreement between the Applicant and Global Youth Network regarding participation in its programs and events.
